Prior to that date Mr. Shamash operated as a sole practitioner from approximately 1996 through 1999, and as an Associate for the law firm Wilkinson & Sood from approximately 1995 through 1996.

Mr. Shamash is currently a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, and is a member of its Bankruptcy, Real Estate, and Small Firm sections. Mr. Shamash is duly admitted to practice law in the Courts of the State of California and in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
From 1993 to 2003, Joseph E. Caceres, Esq. was a staff attorney for the Office of the United States Trustee, a division of the United States Department of Justice, which oversees bankruptcy cases and trustees. Among Mr. Caceres' primary duties for the United States Trustee was the supervision and handling of all aspects of a sometimes large and varied chapter 11 caseload, supervision of chapter 7 and chapter 11 trustees, and supervision of all chapter 13 standing trustees in the District. To this end Mr. Caceres supervised several chapter 7 trustees for the duration of his tenure with the Office, was a founding member of the chapter 11 trustee supervisory team in the Los Angeles Field Office, and later became the attorney team member for the Regional Chapter 13 Trustee Management Team.
Prior to joining the Office of the United States Trustee, Mr. Caceres externed for the Honorable Vincent P. Zurzolo, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California, in 1993, and for the United States Small Business Administration in 1992.
